Terms of service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using VoidNote, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password safe. We generate your password at registration — save it immediately. If you did not provide an email address, there is no recovery mechanism.
Do not share your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Notes and encryption
Notes are encrypted client-side before transmission. We store only ciphertext — we cannot read note content. You accept that:
- • Notes are permanently deleted after reaching their view limit or after 24 hours.
- • We cannot recover any destroyed note under any circumstances.
- • The share URL contains the decryption key — treat it as the secret itself.
- • Note titles are stored in plaintext. Do not put sensitive information in titles.
5. Credits
Credits are consumed at the rate of one credit per note created. Credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Credits do not expire.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing for future purchases. Existing credits are not affected by price changes.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by AlchemyPay. We do not handle or store payment credentials. By making a purchase you also agree to AlchemyPay's terms of service.
7. Prohibited uses
You must not use VoidNote to:
- • Share illegal content, malware, or content that facilitates harm to others
- • Violate the intellectual property rights of any third party
- • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
- • Circumvent rate limits or access controls
- • Create accounts programmatically or in bulk without prior written consent
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 30 days' notice and provide a credit refund where required by law.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
VoidNote is provided "as is". We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from: note content, failed deliveries, service outages, or your use of the share URL. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. On deletion, your account data is removed within 30 days; purchase records are retained as required by law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If you have an email address on file, we will notify you. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept updated terms, you may delete your account.
